Visual Arts

The Visual Arts program at Marmion Primary School offers our students a variety of stimulating, creative, fun and engaging activities. Students from Year One to Year Six are given opportunities to create and express their ideas through a variety of art forms and design and explore their own artistic choices when completing artworks. Students develop skills, techniques and processes and use a variety of materials as they explore and experiment with different genres. They have the opportunity to respond to artworks and reflect upon their own work.

Year 1 to Year 6 have one fifty-five-minute lesson per week. The students are exposed to techniques from artists and cultures from the past and present and have the opportunity to replicate their artworks. The Visual Arts room is a safe and nurturing environment which is well resourced to enable the students to achieve their highest potential. The program is highly valued and strongly supported by the school community.

Providing a nurturing, inclusive and
safe learning environment for all.
